Al-Hosn Palace, more commonly known as the Vieux Fort or
the White Fort, is the oldest building in the
city. Built in the late 19th century, the palace
was the residence of the former ruling family.
The interior of the Al Hosn Palace has been completely
renovated and modernized. What is remarkable in
the Al Hosn Palace are the court and the tile
work on the principal or the north of the door.
Al Hosn Palace now houses the Cultural Foundation,
ranging from documentation and research centre.
Many exhibitions were held here to display traditional
objects and photographs.
