Dubai has a number of amusement parks and gardens, which offer a
wide range of recreation and entertainment activities to their visitors.
They offer an ideal environment to spend a few hours away from noise
agitation of urban life. Some of the famous amusement parks are in
Dubai, Jumeirah Beach Park, Dubai Creekside Park, Mushrif Park, Al
Mamzar Park and Safa Park. In addition to them there are many small
parks and heritage villages worth a visit to Dubai. In this category
Bait Al Wakeel, Al Nasr Leisure land, heritage and diving village,
Al Boom Tourist Village are worth mentioning. Creekside Park: Located between Al Maktoum and Al Garhoud Bridge on the Bur Dubai, Creekside Park is one of the largest and most popular amusement parks in Dubai. Spread over an area of 96 hectares of grass and botanical gardens with over 280 botanical species, the park has a desert garden with fallaj or traditional irrigation system and many flower gardens. The Creekside Park Dubai has children’s sports, barbecue sites, amphitheater with seating for 1200 people, information booth, 18-hole mini-golf, and 3 docks for fishing. 2 restaurants and a number of refreshment kiosks, walking and jogging
trails and exit points for Abras (boat trips are to be introduced
at a later date). Other major attractions of the park are children’s
City, take young minds on a journey through the human body, science
and space, with the help of different 'zones'.
