Dubai Souks

Do you want to do Shopping in Abu Dhabi?
'Souk 'is the Arabic word which means the market or a place where all types of products are deposited or exchanged. Traditionally, Arabic ships discharged their cargoes from the Far East, China, Ceylon and India on the docks, which would be negotiated on the souks adjacent docks. Times have changed since then as Dubai Gold Souk gave way to air-conditioned multi-storey shopping malls and outlets have changed to spices, silk and Ittar (Perfume Arabic) the latest electronic gizmos, gold and designer clothes.

Dubai souks are a striking contrast to the modern shopping malls. Also known as 'Heart of Urban Arabia ', shopping in Dubai is not complete without browsing Dubai’s famous souks. Dubai souks are swarmed with people busy negotiating with merchants in a traditional style of doing business. Dubai souks are located in Deira and sells gold jewelry, traditional spices, perfumes and fishes.
